• In your blog, make a new category called Off Topic.
• In this category, share the latest news and happenings across the world/country.
• Like, electionpunjab  is a current affairs  blog and it shared latest country news, now when people will search for this news on Google, this blog is likely to come on first page. Such a nice way to get instant traffic to your blog.

Important points to remember

If you’re planning to create this category in your blog, do consider the following points:

• Do not share such current news on daily basis.
• Share only the top news that is likely to be searched more on Google.
• Give suitable title and description.
• Do give credits from where the news has been taken.
• If possible do give screenshots with proper image name and alt tag(do not forget traffic from Google Images).

Advantages of Off Topic category

• Best for instant traffic.
• As most the traffic will be from search engines, so the chances of Adsense clicks will be more i.e better earnings.

Disadvantages of Off Topic Category

• This trick will only bring traffic for 2-3 days, not more than that.
• Majority of the traffic you will get will hardly come to your bog again.
• It is my personal view that writing about such current news on your blog can ruin the image of your blog among other loyal readers as they only want posts that are related to your blog niche.
